IBPS Clerk 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the IBPS Clerk Exam 2025, candidates must meet the following three key criteria:

Age Limit (As on 01/08/2025)

  • The candidate must be between 20 to 28 years of age.

  • Only candidates born between 02.07.1997 and 01.07.2005 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification (As on 21/08/2025)

  • The candidate must hold a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • A valid mark sheet or degree certificate confirming graduation status on the day of registration is required.
  • The percentage of marks obtained in graduation must be entered at the time of online registration.

Computer Literacy

  • Candidates must have operating and working knowledge of computer systems.
  • This can be proven by:
  • A Certificate / Diploma / Degree in Computer Operations or Language
      • Studying Computer / IT as a subject in High School / College / Institute

Language Proficiency

  • Proficiency in the official language of the State/UT for which the candidate is applying is preferred.
  • Candidates should be able to read, write, and speak the language.

Nationality / Citizenship

A candidate must be any one of the following:

  1. A Citizen of India, or

  2. A subject of Nepal, or

  3. A subject of Bhutan, or

  4. A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement, or

  5. A person of Indian origin who migrated from the following countries with the intent to settle in India permanently:

    • Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka

    • East African countries: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam

IBPS Clerk 2025 Application Fee

The application fee for the IBPS Clerk 2025 exam varies by category. The fee must be paid online only and is non-refundable, under any circumstances. Once paid, it cannot be adjusted for any other exam or selection process.

IBPS Clerk 2025 Selection Process

The selection process for IBPS CRP Clerk-XIV (Customer Service Associate) consists of two phases:

  1. Preliminary Examination

  2. Mains Examination

Candidates must qualify in both stages to be selected for clerical positions in participating Public Sector Banks.

Note:
There is no interview for IBPS Clerk recruitment. The final selection is entirely based on the Mains Examination score.

IBPS Clerk 2025 Exam Pattern

The IBPS Clerk exam is conducted in two stagesPrelims and Mains—and both exams are held online.

Phase 1: IBPS Clerk Preliminary Examination

The Preliminary exam evaluates a candidate’s aptitude, reasoning skills, and English proficiency. It comprises three sections with a total of 100 marks. Each section has a 20-minute time limit.
